The Artist Services Program encourages the work of Nevada’s literary, performing, and visual artists. With a focus on the needs and concerns of the individual artist, the program components serve artists through grant funding, programs supporting the work of artists, professional development opportunities, and technical assistance.

 

PROGRAMS & SERVICES

NEVADA TOURING INITIATIVE (NTI) TRAVELING EXHIBITION PROGRAM

The Nevada Touring Initiative (NTI) delivers high quality visual arts exhibits to communities throughout the state. To help accomplish this goal, every NTI-Traveling Exhibition includes installation, insurance, publicity, and educational materials. Read more

 

ARTIST FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM (Contemporary Arts)

The Artist Fellowship Program was created in 1988 by the Nevada Arts Council to encourage the pursuit of artistic excellence by providing financial support to Nevada artists. Read more

 

LEGISLATIVE EXHIBITION SERIES (LXS)

The Legislative Exhibition Series (LXS) spotlights Nevada painters, photographers, sculptors, and craft artists during the biennial legislative sessions. A citizen’s committee selects the artists whose work is displayed in the gallery space on the first floor of the Legislative Building. Read more

 

OFFICE EXHIBITION SERIES (OXS)

The Office Exhibition Series (OXS) Gallery features artwork either from the agency’s permanent collection or from the NTI-Traveling Exhibit. This series is located in the Nevada Arts Council Carson City office. Read more


FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

ARTIST FELLOWSHIP GRANT (Contemporary Arts)

Grants of $5,000 for artists living in Nevada are awarded in odd calendar years to Visual Artists. In even calendar years these grants are awarded to Literary and Performing Artists. Read more

 

FELLOWSHIP PROJECT GRANT

This $7,000 grant is awarded every other year to support individual artists from all disciplines who have received the maximum allowed number of NAC Fellowships (two and more). The grant winner must meet all Fellowship Program eligibility requirements. The Fellowship Project Grant is a two-year grant and the application will be open in 2021.
